Stéphane Ogier's Côte-Rôtie Mon Village 2017 is produced from a single grape variety: Syrah from different localities, both in Côte Brune and Côte Blonde. This mosaic of terroirs covers an area of barely 2 hectares with soils composed mainly of granite and schist.

The estate harvests the grapes by hand and sorts them carefully (first at the plot and then at the vatting house) before vinifying (20% whole harvest) in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats. This is followed by an 18-month ageing in barrels, 20% of which are new.

The Côte-Rôtie Stéphane Ogier Mon Village 2017 has a magnificent deep garnet colour and distils a rich and opulent bouquet of small red and black fruits interspersed with various spices.
On the palate, Côte-Rôtie Stéphane Ogier Mon Village 2017 offers a full-bodied attack. Deep and concentrated, it expresses itself on aromas of ripe fruits and juicy berries supported by velvety and finely worked tannins before finishing on a silky finish with remarkable persistence.

Still young, the Côte-Rôtie Stéphane Ogier Mon Village 2017 is already mature enough for tasting while retaining a strong ageing potential. It will be the perfect accompaniment to beef, lamb, deer or venison dishes.
