The Ogier estate was born in 1983, when Michel Ogier, sensing the growth of the Côte-Rôtie appellation, decided to market his first cuvée. Thanks to the success of this cuvée, which was still confidential, Domaine Ogier seduced more and more customers, mainly from abroad, every year.
But it took about fifteen years, when Stéphane Ogier joined his father, after studying oenology in Beaune, for Domaine Ogier to take off.

Indeed, in 1997, Stéphane Ogier took over the management of the small 2.5 ha estate and expanded it year after year by acquiring plots of land in the surrounding area, in Côte-Rôtie, but also in Saint-Julien and Condrieu.

Today, Domaine Stéphane Ogier covers an area of more than 20 hectares and benefits from an ultra-modern winery (completed in 2004) allowing Stéphane Ogier to express all his talent, intuition and audacity to produce cuvées so exceptional and regular that they have already raised him among the elite of < a href="">Rhone Valley winegrowers.

The Côte-Rôtie Côte-Bodin Stéphane Ogier 2016 is made from 100% Syrah and has a beautiful purple colour with garnet reflections.
On the nose, it distils a distinguished bouquet tinged with floral notes of roses, tea and ripe red berries.
On the palate, the 2016 Côte-Rôtie Côte-Bodin offers a medium-bodied attack followed by a mid-palate bursting with juicy raspberry aromas and vegetal black tea notes, supported by a fine, velvety tannic structure leading to a long, intensely lingering finish.

The Côte-Rôtie Côte-Bodin Stéphane Ogier 2016 is a marvel produced for long ageing. It is already ready to drink but will continue to gain in maturity until 2035.
