Since 1997, Stéphane Ogier has taken over the management of the small family estate and has developed it to match his talent and ambitions.
Indeed, after completing his oenology studies in Beaune, Stéphane Ogier decided to follow in his father's footsteps and hopes to lead the property among the greatest estates in the Rhône Valley. To do this, he expanded the vineyard by acquiring various plots of land in Côte-Rôtie, Saint Julien and Condrieu. In 2004, he also had an ultra-modern winery built, in line with his ambitions and talent. Since then, this winery has enabled him to create some of the most renowned cuvées of the Côte-Rôtie, placing him among the elite of Rhone Valley winegrowers.

The Côte-Rôtie Le Champon Stéphane Ogier 2016 is made from 100% Syrah and has a beautiful purple colour with ruby reflections.
On the nose, it gives off a subtle bouquet, tinged with vanilla and woody notes, revealing a hint of ripe red berries.
On the palate, the Côte-Rôtie Le Champon 2016 is full and intense. After a full-bodied attack, it opens up and reveals an avalanche of juicy red fruits supported by a silky tannic line, ending on a rich, remarkably persistent finish.

The Côte-Rôtie Le Champon Stéphane Ogier 2016 is a wine for long cellaring. It is already ready to drink but will continue to evolve for about fifteen years.
