Domaine Ogier was born in 1983, when Michel Ogier, sensing the growth of the Côte-Rôtie appellation, decided to market his first cuvée. But it wasn't until 1997, when his son, Stéphane, took over the management of the estate, that Domaine Ogier began its real ascent.

In just a few years, Stéphane Ogier expanded the small family vineyard by acquiring several plots in Côte-Rôtie, Saint-Julien, Condrieu, as well as a few PGI's in the Rhone Valley. In 2004, he had a new ultra-modern winery built, allowing him to give free rein to his knowledge, intuition and exceptional talent.

Today, Stéphane Ogier is recognised by the critics for his exceptional vintages of remarkable regularity. He is now part of the elite of Côte-Rôtie winemakers.

The Côte-Rôtie Stéphane Ogier "La Belle Hélène" 2016 is made from 100% Syrah and has a magnificent dark purple colour with garnet-red tints.
On the nose, it opens with a full and generous bouquet of ripe red fruits that are perfectly retranscribed on the palate, supported by a fine tannic line with a velvety texture leading to a finish that is as long as it is elegant.
Rich, powerful and wonderfully balanced, Stéphane Ogier's Côte-Rôtie La Belle Hélène 2016 is made for long ageing. It is already ready to be enjoyed but will continue to gain depth for another few decades (2040 at least).
