Coming from a family of farmers from the Côte-Rôtie, Michel Ogier marketed his first vintage in 1983, taking advantage of the growth of the appellation.

Later, in 1997, his son Stéphane joined him at the estate, after five years of oenology studies in Beaune. Soon, Stéphane Ogier took over the management of the estate and developed it rapidly, increasing its surface area from barely 2.5 ha to more than twenty hectares, mainly in AOC Côte-Rôtie but also in Condrieu, Saint-Joseph and IGP Collines Rhodaniennes.

In 2004, Domaine Stéphane Ogier acquired a new ultra-modern winery in Ampuis. Thanks to this exceptional winery, Stéphane Ogier can give free rein to his talent to produce ever finer and more elegant wines, which will quickly lead him to become one of the elite of Rhone Valley winegrowers!

The Côte-Rôtie Stéphane Ogier Montmain 2016 has a magnificent deep purple color with ruby reflections.
On the nose, it opens with a rich and exuberant bouquet of cherries and blueberries intermingled with elegant woody notes.
On the palate, the Côte-Rôtie Stéphane Ogier Montmain 2016 offers a medium-bodied attack followed by an ample and fresh mid-palate. Red and black fruit aromas develop in the mid-palate, unleashing their freshness and complexity, supported by fine, silky tannins, to finally end on a finish that is as long as it is delicious.

z Côte-Rôtie Stéphane Ogier Montmain 2016 is just entering its ideal tasting peak and should remain there at least until 2035.
