Domaine Ogier was born in 1983, after Michier Ogier, sensing the growth of the Côte-Rôtie AOC, decided to vinify part of his harvest, initially intended for sale to the wine trade. A few years later, Michel Ogier stopped selling to wine merchants and vinified his entire production, thanks to his growing success.
But Domaine Ogier only really took off in 1997, when Stéphane Ogier, after studying oenology in Beaune, took over the running of the estate.

In just a few years, Stéphane Ogier developed the family vineyard by acquiring several plots of land in Côte-Rôtie, Condrieu and Saint-Julien, and by building a new, ultra-modern winery in 2004, allowing him to showcase all his knowledge and incredible know-how.

Today, Domaine Stéphane Ogier is acclaimed by critics for its incredible vintages and exceptional regularity. Stéphane Ogier is now part of the elite of Rhone Valley winemakers.

The Côte-Rôtie Stéphane Ogier La Côte-Blonde is undoubtedly the most successful vintage of the 2016 vintage.
In the glass, it has a beautiful deep purple colour with ruby reflections and a complex bouquet of juicy red berries wrapped in floral and vegetal notes.
On the palate, the Côte-Rôtie Stéphane Ogier "La Côte-Blonde" 2016 opens with a powerful, full-bodied attack followed by a mid-palate bursting with raspberries, black tea and roses enhanced by a supple, velvety tannic structure. Rich, ample and perfectly balanced, the Côte-Blonde 2016 flatters the taste buds to reveal a complex, persistent finish with an elegant touch of liquorice.

The Côte-Rôtie Stéphane Ogier "La Côte-Blonde" 2016 is a wine for laying down. It is already ready for tasting but will continue to mature for at least two decades (2040).
