The year 2012 is undoubtedly one of the worst that the Champagne region has experienced.
But it is also in the midst of difficulties that the greatest talents reveal themselves and, as Jean Baptiste Lecaillon (cellar master of the Maison Roederer) said, "difficult conditions often lead to great things!".

And he was right!

Made from a blend of 70% Pinot Noir and 30% Chardonnay (respectively from the Montagne de Reims and the Côte des Blancs), the Champagne Louis Roederer Vintage 2012 distils all the purity and minerality of its original terroirs in a sensation of freshness and refinement.

This 2012 vintage of Louis Roederer has a magnificent golden colour with amber reflections and a fine, lively effervescence.
Shy at first on the nose, it opens up after a few swirls in the glass and offers a delicate bouquet of citrus and small nuts (almonds, hazelnuts) as well as subtle floral and woody touches.
On the palate, Champagne Louis Roederer Brut 2012 presents a distinguished profile, between roundness and vivacity. After a lively attack, it offers a soft and silky mid-palate, bursting with fruit, flower and oak aromas that grow on the palate, supported by a fresh and unctuous foam, to finish on a delicious and incredibly persistent finish!

Still a bit young, the Champagne Louis Roederer Vintage 2012 should reach its ideal tasting range by 2024 but will continue to mature until 2040.
