Made from a 100% Merlot blend, Petrus 1971 is once again the undeniable lord of the Pomerol appellation.

Dressed in a ruby red colour, tending towards orange on the edges, Petrus 1971 offers an incredible bouquet of complexity. From the very first nose, it is an explosion of scents that invade the nostrils: candied and dried black fruits (plum, prunes) in abundance, wrapped in aromas of violet, honey and black truffle.
On the palate, Petrus 1971 is opulent and still slightly tannic on the finish. The acidity of ripe black fruits finds here the perfect balance with the silky, velvety texture of the tannins and spicy notes that develop in the glass after a few minutes of aeration.

Petrus 1971 is a magical wine, between opulence and elegance, delicacy and sensuality.
