Château Malartic Lagravière is a wine estate in the Pessac-Léognan appellation whose origins date back to the 17th century. Its vineyard covers an area of 53 hectares of gravelly soil on clay-limestone subsoil.

Although the estate also produces a white wine, the vineyard's grape varieties are dominated by red varieties: Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, which cover an area of 46 hectares. The remaining 7 hectares are dedicated to the cultivation of white grape varieties.

Château Malartic-Lagravière is an estate as committed to tradition as it is to respect for nature and biodiversity. This is why the property does not use weedkillers or pesticides, preferring to carefully ensure the right soil/plant balance.
All these practices were rewarded in 2008 with an Agrocert certification, attesting that the estate strictly follows the principles of sustainable agriculture.

Château Marlartic-Lagravière 2017 red is a blend of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc and 2% Petit Verdot. These grapes were harvested by hand with double sorting in the vineyard and then in the cellar before being vinified in mini temperature-controlled vats and matured for 16 to 22 months.

In the glass, Château Malartic-Lagravière 2017 red has a beautiful dark ruby colour and a shy bouquet of red fruits intertwined with tertiary notes of tar and forest soil. The second nose reveals the elegant scents of dried laurel.
On the palate, Château Malartic-Lagravière 2017 red offers a moderately fleshy attack. The aromas of juicy red and black fruits are wonderfully supported by a spirited tannic line and line the tongue and inside the cheeks with an elegant freshness.
