Premier Cru Classé
Château Haut Brion is the largest representative of the Pessac Léognan appellation (with the Mission Haut Brion). It is a blend of four grape varieties: Petit Verdot, Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot.
Château Haut Brion 1971 has a deep and intense purple colour.
On the nose it offers a refined and elegant bouquet of overripe plums, cigar tobacco and undergrowth wrapped in smoke notes.
On the palate, Château Haut Brion 1971 develops mature and generous aromas of generous black fruit, full of sugar, earth, leather and dried herbs. Moderately full-bodied, Haut Brion 1971 shows no sign of decline and still offers a velvety, silky texture with a soft and persistent finish.
