The Château Marquis de Terme is a Quatrième Cru Classé of the Margaux appellation. It rests on a magnificent vineyard of about forty hectares of quartz-rich gravel, an ideal terroir for the Cabernet Sauvignon, which dominates the vines, to fully express itself. The grape varieties are also complemented by Merlot and some Petit Verdot.

Château Marquis de Terme 2017 has been harvested by hand with double sorting, in the vineyard and then in the winery, followed by a plot-by-plot vinification with fermentation in temperature-controlled concrete vats, before maturing for 18 months in oak barrels (50% new barrels).

In the glass, Château Marquis de Terme 2017 has a splendid deep garnet/purple colour and exhales a bouquet of cooked black berries, plums, blackberries and blackcurrants supported by greedy notes of cinnamon and tree bark.
Moderately full-bodied on the attack, the 2017 Chateau Marquis de Terme offers a fresh, fruity mouthfeel with fine tannin and a velvety texture. Aromas of red and black fruits unfold in the middle of the mouth with a lively sensation of freshness to end on a finish deliciously tinged with herbaceous flavours.

The 2017 vintage of Château Marquis de Terme is best served with beef, veal or lamb.
