The vineyard of Château La Conseillante extends over a small area of only 12 hectares in the heart of the Pomerol appellation.
The 2016 vintage of Château La Conseillante is a blend of two grape varieties, 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc, harvested with a yield of about 40 hectoliters per hectare, and matured in 70% new oak barrels.

Château La Conseillante 2016 offers a discreet but flattering nose with aromas of ripe black fruit and floral notes.
On the palate, La Conseillante 2016 is very well balanced and endowed with a great aromatic finesse, but what distinguishes it from other Pomerol wines is its mid-palate, revealing a characteristic salinity.
The finish reveals a shy, spicy touch of black pepper that persists in the mouth for long seconds.

This 2016 vintage promises to be a great future classic of Château La Conseillante!
