The Cuvée du Père Houdart is THE exceptional Cuvée of the José Michel House. It was created in honour of the founder of the House, José Michel's grandfather.
This cuvée, made from an unusual blend of the best vintages such as 1971, 1975, 1976, 1982, 1984 and 2011, exists only in very limited quantities.

Champagne José Michel Cuvée du Père Houdart is dressed in a magnificent golden yellow colour with sparkling reflections. It is crossed by fine, abundant bubbles forming a beautiful and persistent foam.
On the nose, the Cuvée du Père Houdart distils an incredible aromatic complexity, releasing powerful and fresh aromas of yellow fruit compote as well as notes of dried fruits such as hazelnuts or roasted almonds.
Complex and creamy on the palate, Champagne José Michel Cuvée du Père Houdart reveals an extraordinary aromatic richness that is both fresh and greedy, perfectly balanced between the freshness of the yellow flesh fruits and the greediness of roasted hazelnuts and toasted notes.

The Cuvée du Père Houdart is based on a blend of 40% Pinot Noir, 40% Pinot Meunier and 20% Chardonnay and is very lightly dosed (4g/l). It will undoubtedly delight lovers of great wines.

This champagne will be a perfect accompaniment to an aperitif dinner as well as refined dishes of fish, seafood or white meats in sauce.
