Château Fombrauge 2013 is a Grand Cru Classé from Saint Emilion made from a blend of Merlot (77%), Cabernet Franc (14%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (9%).
In the glass, it presents a very beautiful deep ruby red robe tinged with purple reflections and distills a bouquet of ripe black fruits, blackcurrants, blueberries, blackberries as well as notes of vanilla and spices. Mineral touches appear after a short shaking of the glass.
Once on the palate, Château Fombrauge 2013 is medium-bodied with granular tannins and a fruity aromatic range of ripe berries, raspberries, blueberries, and black plums evolving on the palate, revealing notes of cocoa and spices on a long finish and remarkable persistence.
