Château Figeac is produced in the Graves de Saint Emilion region on a vineyard of about 30 hectares divided into 3 hills: les Moulins, la Terrasse and l' Enfer.
It is a terroir similar to Pomerol, composed of gravel, sand clay and iron dross.
It is undoubtedly for this reason that the Figeac grape variety is so particular for the appellation with its 70% Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc (35% each).
Château Figeac 1988 is dressed in a beautiful garnet robe, very dark, with warm reflections.
On the nose, it exalts a generous bouquet of black fruits, leather, and liquorice covered with spices and a balsamic and woody touch.
On the palate, Château Figeac 1988 offers a tender, fruity and ripe attack. The tannins, silky and finely worked, bring a rectilinear structure to the wine. In the middle of the mouth, the black fruits spread out on the palate until the long and elegant finish.
