Located in AOC Pomerol, Clos l'Eglise has a small vineyard of only 6 hectares resting on a clayey-gravelly soil dotted with iron drosses. The estate's grape varieties are mainly composed of Merlot vines (70%) plus Cabernet Franc vines (30%).
The property is managed in a traditional way, respecting nature and biodiversity according to the principles of sustainable agriculture.
Always in respect of tradition and excellence, the Clos l'Eglise harvest is carried out by hand and in crates. The bunches are then sorted twice, in the vineyard and in the cellar before being vinified in thermo-regulated vats. The vinification is then carried out in 100% new oak barrels for an average period of 16 to 18 months.
Clos l'Eglise 2017 is a blend of Merlot (80%) and Cabernet Franc (20%).
Once in the glass, shows a beautiful dark purple color tinged with ruby splinters and distills an ample bouquet of small red and black fruits wrapped in tertiary scents of pepper, flower petals and various spices.
On the palace, Clos l'Eglise 2017 offers a moderate attack with a solid structure. The finely crafted tannins bring a velvety texture to the blend and perfectly support the powerful aromas of juicy and spicy black fruit before ending with a long and refined finish.
