Second Cru Classé
The history of Château Pichon Longueville Baron dates back to 1694, when Jacques de Pichon married Pierre de Rauzan's daughter. The Domaine remained in the family for decades and in 1851 Raoul de Pichon Longueville built the current Château.
It was then in 1988, after organising an architectural competition, that the Château Pichon Longueville Baron was completely renovated. These new facilities will then enable the Domaine to produce wines under the best possible conditions.
It is in these facilities that Château Pichon Baron 2000 was born.
Pichon Baron 2000 has a magnificent intense violet colour with tiled tile tints on the edges.
On the nose, it gives off an incredible bouquet of incense mixed with black fruits and cream of blackcurrant as well as touches of leather and liquorice.
On the palate, Château Pichon Baron 2000 presents a structured, concentrated and very pure with powerful tannins, but finely worked and perfectly integrated.
The Château Pichon Baron 2000 is already incredible but, with a few more years in the cellar, it will undoubtedly prove even more spectacular!
