It is in the heart of the Pessac-Léognan appellation, on a high terrace of gravel from the Quaternary era, that the 53 hectares of the Château Château Malartic-Lagravière vineyard are located. Of these 53 hectares, only 46 are dedicated to the production of red wine.
The gravelly hillock on which the vineyard is located is renowned for being one of the most beautiful soils in the entire AOC. Its name, "Lagravière", highlights the exceptional quality of the soils that make it up.

Château Malartic-Lagravière 2018 is produced from a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (57%), Merlot (36%), Petit Verdot (4%) and Cabernet Franc (3%). The resulting mixture is then matured in oak barrels for 18 to 22 months.

In the glass, Château Malartic-Lagravière 2018 has a beautiful dark purple colour with slightly lighter reflections.
On the nose, it distills a bouquet of small red and black cooked or candied fruits, interspersed with delicately woody notes as well as a touch of spicy blond tobacco.
On the palate, Château Malartic-Lagravière 2018 red offers a powerful and full-bodied attack. The mid-palate is softer and reveals multiple layers of ripe fruit supported by a straight tannic line and aromas of pepper and spices that persist for long seconds on the finish.

Château Malartic-Lagravière also exists in white.
