The climatic conditions of the 2016 vintage were exceptional in the AOC Moulis en Médoc, the harvest was late to allow the grapes to reach perfect ripeness.

The blending of Château Chasse Spleen 2016 is composed of four grape varieties, dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon (50%), and completed by 42% Merlot, 6% Petit Verdot and 2% Cabernet Franc.

The Chasse Spleen 2016 is dressed in a rich, intense ruby colour with sparkling reflections.
On the nose, it exhibits a bouquet of black cherries and freshly picked roses with oak and cedar woody notes. After a few minutes in the glass, smoky notes appear.
On the palate, Château Chasse Chasse Spleen 2016 opens with a full and direct attack, endowed with great freshness. The wine seems to stretch and swell in the middle of the mouth, exposing a firm but satiny tannic structure and great finesse.
Finally, the finish is long and persistent, black fruits fade to give way to subtle aromas of cocoa and liquorice.

Few Chasse Spleen are more successful than the 2016. In any case, it is already one of the most successful vintages in the estate's history!
