It is in the heart of the AOC Margaux, on a terroir of fine gravel, that the 21 hectares of the Château Monbrison vineyard extend. The estate's grape varieties are classic for the appellation, with half of Cabernet Sauvignon complemented by Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot.

The estate takes particular care in the production of its wines with manual harvesting followed by a double sorting, then a traditional thermoregulated vinification before maturing for 14 to 20 months in barrels (about 50% new) depending on the needs of the vintage.
This attention to detail is reflected in the great regularity of Château Monbrison's wines, which each year ranks among the best unclassified wines of the Margaux appellation.

Château Monbrison 2017 is a blend dominated by 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, supplemented by 20% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot.
It has a beautiful garnet colour and a bouquet of small red and black fruits with perfectly integrated floral and woody notes.
On the palate, Château Monbrison 2017 reveals a moderately full-bodied attack before offering a well-structured mid-palate. The tannic line perfectly supports the fruity aromas with a well balanced acidity. The finish is elegant and remarkably long.

This 2017 vintage of Château Monbrison is still a very successful year for the estate!
