Château Angélus 2017 is a First Growth made from a blend predominantly Merlot (70%) to which is added 30% Cabernet Franc harvested in the south of the Saint-Emilion appellation. The 2017 vintage was early and difficult but, once again, the estate's teams managed to produce what seems to be one of the most beautiful wines of the appellation!

Château Angélus 2017 presents a superb deep and dark purple robe, even pulling on the black and gently reveals its perfumes. On the first nose, it seems shy and closed but after some agitations, the Angelus 2017 awakes, releasing sublime fragrances of black fruits, blackberries, plums and cherries coated with vegetal and floral notes, mocha, and burnt wood.
Medium-bodied and extremely concentrated, Château Angélus 2017 unveils a mouth full of deliciously textured black fruits with silky, abundant tannins that stretch in the mouth to give way to a subtly earthy finish of infinite length.

Rich, concentrated and complex, Château Angélus presents itself once again this year as one of the best wines the appellation has produced!
