Carruades de Lafite is the second wine of Château Lafite Rothschild, Premier Cru Classé.

Its name comes from the plateau of the Carruades, which the Château Lafite Rothschild purchased in 1845, and which includes some parcels of vines. Originally named "Moulin des Carruades" and operated separately from the Lafite Rothschild estate, it changed its name in the 1980s to become the second wine of Château Lafite Rothschild.

The Carruades de Lafite 2003 is dressed in a seductive dark red dress.
On the nose, it offers fruity aromas, with black cherry and blackcurrant, enhanced by touches of mocha.
On the palate, Les Carruades de Lafite 2003 remains the same as It distils all the freshness of ripe black fruits (black cherry and blackcurrant). As soon as it enters the mouth, it surprises with its fullness and opulence, quickly covering the palate thanks to its fine and silky tannins.

The Carruades de Lafite 2003 take advantage of the know-how of Château lafite Rothschild. It is worthy of a Grand Cru and is suitable for long ageing.
