Château Nénin is located in the heart of the Pomerol appellation, north of the small village of Catusseau. Its vineyard is one of the largest in the appellation with 32 hectares of clayey-gravelly soil planted with the three traditional grape varieties of the appellation (Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon). The vineyard is cultivated in a traditional and sustainable way to protect the soil and biodiversity of the site.

Château Nénin 2018 is produced from a blend of Merlot (63%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (37%). The wine is aged in oak barrels (45% of which are new).
In the glass, the 2018 vintage of Château Nénin has a beautiful very dark, almost black colour, pulling purple on the rim.
On the first nose, it releases a lively and complex bouquet loaded with small red and black fruits rolled up in tertiary notes of chocolate, liquorice, tobacco and dried herbs.
Quite full-bodied, Château Nénin 2018 offers a mouthfeel with extraordinary concentration. As lively in the mouth as on the nose, it reveals tons of ripe and fresh red and black fruits supported by a velvety and finely worked tannic line. The great freshness of the wine extends from the middle palate to the very long finish.
