Château Larcisse Ducasse is a Premier Grand Cru Classé of Saint-Emilion. Its vineyard, made up of a mosaic of some of the most qualitative terroirs of the Côte Pavie, benefits in addition from a south-facing exposure ideal for high quality harvests.

Managed by Nicolas Thienpont and David Suire since 2002, Château Larcis Ducasse has never ceased to improve, producing wines of increasingly high quality, deeper and purer without denying its solar character.

Contrary to many Bordeaux properties, the difficult weather conditions of 2017 and the frost in April spared the Château Larcis Ducasse vineyard, allowing it to reveal itself as one of the most beautiful success stories of the right bank and Saint-Emilion.

Made from a blend dominated by 92% Merlot and 8% Cabernet Franc, Château Larcis Ducasse 2017 has a magnificent deep garnet/purple color with ruby tints.
The nose opens with a generous bouquet of black fruits, candied plums, and baked blackberries, as well as tertiary notes of graphite, tar, and earth.
On the palate, Château Larcis Ducasse 2017 offers a medium-bodied attack followed by a straight, balanced mid-palate. The black fruit aromas unfold on the palate letting a delicate mineral touch emerge until ending on an opulent and remarkably long finish.

Already ready for tasting, Château Larcis Ducasse 2017 will be able to mature for around twenty years in the cellar.
