Château Lynch-Moussas is classified as a Fifth Growth in the 1855 classification. It is located to the west of the Pauillac appellation alongside Château Batailley. Its vineyard covers an area of 57 hectares of a terroir of Garonne gravel. The vines are composed of two thirds Cabernet Sauvignon (70%) and one third Merlot (30%).
An exceptional estate, Château Lynch-Moussas harvests by hand with double sorting, first in the vineyard and then in the cellar. Then comes a vinification in thermo-regulated vats and maturing in oak barrels (60% new barrels) for an average of 18 months.
Château Lynch-Moussas 2017 is a blend of 78% Cabernet Sauvignon and 22% Merlot. It has a very beautiful dark colour with ruby tints and a rich and complex bouquet of small black berries combined with tertiary notes of flower petal, cocoa and smoke.
On the palate, Château Lynch-Moussas 2017 offers a medium-bodied attack. The wine benefits from a straight and velvety tannic structure that perfectly supports all the freshness of the black fruits, which evolve until a hint of minerality emerges on the finish.
