Château Figeac is part of the very closed club of Premiers Grands Crus of Saint Emilion.
Its estate covers an area of 54 hectares. The 40 hectares devoted to the vines are situated on a unique terroir, consisting of Günzian gravel and a few plots of Aeolian sand, where the other estates of the appellation lie on clay-limestone or sandy soils.

The vineyard's grape varieties are traditional for Saint-Emilion, with Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot (about 30% each).

Château Figeac 2000 is an extraordinary wine. In the glass, it has a magnificent deep and dense purple colour. On the nose, it has an incredibly fresh bouquet of black berries, camphor, graphite, licorice, and smoky herbs.
On the palate, the 2000 Chateau Figeac offers a powerful, full-bodied attack. Its rich, well-balanced tannic structure beautifully supports the complex aromas of juicy black fruits.

Rich, pure and fresh, Château Figeac 2000 is one of the vintage's finest successes, to the point that some tasters suggest that it is as complex as a Cheval Blanc!
