As its name suggests, the Cuvée Family Réserve was once intended only for the Comtes de Dampierre family. It is now marketed, but only in the best vintages.
Traditional vintage, Champagne Comte Audoin de Dampierre "Family Réserve" 2007 is always tied with hemp string (French origin), the trademark of the Dampierre family.
With a 100% Chardonnay Grand Cru blend, harvested in Oger, Mesnil sur Oger and Cramant, Champagne Comte Audoin de Dampierre "Family Réserve" Brut Grand Cru 2007 was bottled in February 2008, after maturation on lees for five years. It is dosed at 10g/l.
Champagne Comte Audoin de Dampierre "Family Réserve" 2007 has a beautiful golden dress.
Its nose is greedy, releasing notes of honey pastry. Elegant and light, this cuvée combines a rich attack, typical of Chardonnay, with notes of evolution that reveal themselves from year to year.
It is a fresh Grand Cru Champagne with subtle vivacity that will go wonderfully with fish or poultry dishes.
