Ranked First Growth in 1855, Château Rabaud-Promis is born from the sharing of the former Domaine de Rabaud (founded in 1660). Adrien Promis, owner of the Château for about fifty years, named it after him.

Located in Bommes, in the heart of the Sauternes AOC, the Château Rabaud-Promis wine estate has a terroir of gravel and Pyrenean clay. Its grape varieties, typical of the Sauternes appellation, are divided between three grape varieties: 80% Semillon, 18% Sauvignon Blanc and 2% Muscadelle.

As a traditional Sauternes sweet wine, the harvest at Château Rabaud-Promis is carried out by successive sorting in order to harvest only the grapes affected by Botrytis Cinerea, the noble rot. The fermentations which follow are carried out in stainless steel vats or in barrels followed by an ageing from 18 to 24 months in oak barrels.

Château Raubaud-Promis 2017 has a beautiful intense yellow colour with golden highlights. In the glass, it opens with exotic fruit flavors such as pineapple as well as intense notes of citrus, lemon, and pastry.
Once on the palate, Chateau Rabaud-Promis 2017 offers incredible purity reinforced by well-balanced acidity. The aromas of ripe fruit mingle with citrus fruits then develop on the palate until releasing a refined, sweet, and remarkably long finish.
