Located in the heart of the Saint-Emilion appellation, the small vineyard of Château Quinault l'Enclos covers an area of about twenty hectares consisting of sandy clay soil as well as pebbles and other small stones. The estate's grape varieties are dominated by Merlot and complemented by Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon.

Since 2008, Château Quinault l'Enclos has been managed by the teams of the legendary Château Cheval Blanc and has embraced the principles of organic farming.

Château Quinault l'Enclos 2018 is composed of a blend of Merlot (70%), Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon (15% each). The juices were vinified in 50% new oak barrels, the remaining 50% in smaller one-year-old barrels.

In the glass, Château Quinault l'Enclos 2018 shows a very beautiful deep purple colour, almost black and exhales an elegant nose of jammy black fruits and berries as well as a tertiary touch of spices, flowers and black olives.
On the palate, Château Quinault l'Enclos 2018 offers a powerful and relatively full-bodied attack. The aromas of juicy black fruit quickly line the palate, revealing complex notes of liquorice and peppery spices. The fine and well-crafted tannic structure perfectly supports the fruity aromas and allows them to express a well-balanced freshness before revealing a long finish with a peppery note.
