Located in the Pessac Léognan appellation, Château La Mission Haut Brion is one of the legends of the Bordeaux left bank. His vineyard covers 28.5 hectares of gravel, next to the vineyards of his eternal rival, Château Haut Brion.

Despite the frosts at the end of April 2017, which were difficult for the entire Bordeaux vineyard, the land of Château La Mission Haut Brion suffered only slightly, in fact only a small plot of less than one hectare was affected, affecting in nothing the rest of the production, which could continue its vegetative cycle in excellent conditions. The only shadow in the picture, the rains of mid-September did not spare the Cabernet Franc plants, which could not reach their optimal maturity and were therefore largely removed from the final blend.

Second wine of Château La Mission Haut Brion, the 2017 vintage of La Chapelle de la Mission Haut Brion is built around a core of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon (49.2% and 41.9%) only completed with 8.9% Cabernet Franc.
In the glass, the La Chapelle de la Mission Haut Brion 2017 has a beautiful dark garnet colour and distills a bouquet of spicy black fruits as well as elegant notes of wood and graphite.
On the palate, La Chapelle de la Mission Haut Brion 2017 is medium-bodied and full of granular tannins balanced by a beautiful acidity line. The aromas of black and red fruits quickly grow and line the mouth to give way to a long but slightly rough finish. Let's give it some time to mature and smooth its tannins.
