Second Cru Classé
Produced in the heart of the Saint Julien appellation, Château Léoville Las Cases is produced from a blend of five grape varieties: Cabernet Franc and Sauvignon, Malbec, Merlot and Petit Verdot.
This Second Cru Classé is recognized as one of the greatest wines of the AOC St Julien.
In the glass, Château Léoville Las Cases 1975 offers a deep ruby purple colour with light grey highlights.
The nose opens with a mineral bouquet of damp stones interspersed with ripe berry fruits such as blackcurrant (red and black) and a earthy note.
On the palate, Château Léoville Las Cases reveals a palate still very powerful and strongly tannic. Full-bodied and very concentrated, Chateau Léoville Las Cases shows no sign of aging. It offers a velvety and deep mouth of an incredible aromatic richness with black and red fruits in abundance reinforced by very powerful tannins and still shrunken.
Lovers of powerful wines with strong tannins can enjoy Château Léoville Las Cases right now, for lovers of sweetness, it will be necessary to leave it for a few more years in the cellar to let its tannins melt completely.
