A family property since the 15th century, Château la Croix de Gay is based on a small vineyard of barely 10 hectares in the heart of the Pomerol appellation. Its terroir is composed of clayey-gravelly and sandy-gravelly soils on a subsoil of iron drosses.

The main grape variety cultivated by the estate is Merlot, supplemented by a few Cabernet Franc vines (5%).

Château la Croix de Gay 2018 has a beautiful dark garnet colour and a rich, ample bouquet, full of aromas of cooked black berries wrapped in woody and toasted notes.
On the palate, Château la Croix de Gay 2018 offers a full-bodied attack, bursting with aromas of ripe and juicy fruit intertwined with tertiary notes of dried herbs and supported by a silky and well crafted tannic line. The fruit aromas evolve in the middle palate and reveal candied and cooked notes before ending with a delicious and remarkably long finish.
