Château Dalem dominates a beautiful vineyard of about fifteen hectares located in the Fronsac appellation, facing the most prestigious vintages of Pomerol and Saint-Emilion. Its vineyard is situated on a south-facing clay-limestone terroir and benefits from a grape variety largely dominated by Merlot (90%) and complemented by Cabernet Franc.

Respectful of the environment and bio diversity, the property works according to the principles of integrated viticulture, with a plot-by-pot approach.

Château Dalem 2019 is made from a blend of 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc which shows a very beautiful dark purple colour tending towards violet.
Powerful on the nose, it exhales a beautiful bouquet of ripe, spicy black berries intermixed with subtle notes of caramelized chocolate and a discreet hint of minerality.
Full-bodied and fresh, Chateau Dalem 2019 offers a full-bodied attack followed by an intense, concentrated mid-palate with juicy red and black fruit core supported by an elegant, velvety tannic structure. Blackcurrant, blackberry, and raspberry notes are followed after a few seconds by floral hints of violets and a hint of cocoa and coffee that emerges shyly on the long, lingering finish.

Château Dalem 2019 is a real success!
Still in its prime youth, it will need a few years in the cellar to calm its temperament and gain in maturity. It should reach its ideal tasting range between 2025 and 2040. The wait will be difficult!
