Located in the heart of the Pessac-Léognan appellation, Château Bouscaut has seen more than three centuries of history go by before being acquired by one of the largest families in the wine industry: the Lurton family (who also owns the legendary Château d'Yquem).
The vineyard covers 47 hectares of gravelly soil on a clay and limestone subsoil, of which only 7 hectares are dedicated to the cultivation of white grape varieties (Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon). The entire vineyard is cultivated according to the principles of biodynamics.
Château Bouscaut 2017 white was born from a blend of Sauvignon (68%) and Semillon (32%) from 35-year-old vines of average age. These grapes were harvested by hand before being vinified in oak barrels (50% new barrels) and then aged for 12 months (also in oak barrels).
Château Bouscaut 2017 white shows a very beautiful pale yellow colour with brilliant reflections. It has a nose of ripe yellow and white fruits and juicy exotic fruits coated with gourmet aromas of honey and subtly roasted notes.
On the palate, Château Bouscaut 2017 white gains in richness and complexity. The aromatic range of the nose is reflected on the palate, accompanied by warm spices and a smoky touch, and coated in a rich and creamy texture.
Château Boucaut 2017 white is a fruity and gourmet wine, offering all the generosity of its terroir while maintaining a lively tension that lasts until the finish, delicious and incredibly persistent!
