Château Bellegrave is a small family property located on the right bank, in the Pomerol appellation. The estate, acquired by Jean Bouldy in 1951, is today managed by his grandson, Jean-Marie Bouldy and his family.

The vineyard of Château Bellegrave (Pomerol) extends over ten hectares of gravelly soil and benefits from a grape variety dominated by Merlot and supplemented by Cabernet Franc. Respectful of the environment, the estate is ECOCERT certified and has been producing certified organic wines since 2009.

Château Bellegrave 2019 is dressed in a magnificent deep purple colour with a ruby red edge and diffuses an ample and elegant bouquet of cooked and jammy black berries wrapped in layers of gourmet spices, liquorice and vegetal notes.
On the palate, the 2019 Bellegrave (Pomerol) offers an opulent, full-bodied attack, bursting with ripe black fruits, plums, and blueberries, developing in the mid-palate with spicy notes. Supported by a fine and silky tannic structure, the juicy fruit expresses all its freshness before ending on a finish tinged with liquorice.

The 2019 vintage of Château Bellegrave looks promising. The wait will be long!
