About Château Beauséjour Duffau Lagarrosse 2017
Bottle (75cl)

Located on the AOC Saint Emilion, the Château Beauséjour (héritiers Duffau-Lagarosse) wine estate covers an area of 6.5 hectares.
The vineyard has the particularity of being characterized by the diversity of its soils, four in number: the top of the estate, is composed of limestone with asteria, while descending the soils change, becoming molasses of the Fronsadais, then soils of old colluvions made up of sands and clays, and finally recent colluvions. The Château Beauséjour Duffau Lagarosse vineyard faces south/southwest and enjoys optimal sunshine.
It is planted with 81% Merlot, 16% Cabernet Franc and 3% Cabernet Sauvignon with an average density of 8000 vines per hectare (with vines aged 35 to 40 years on average).

Made from a blend dominated by Merlot (88%) and completed by Cabernet Franc (12%), Château Beauséjour Duffau Lagarosse 2017 presents a very beautiful colour between garnet and dark purple.
Slightly shy on the first nose, Château Beauséjour Duffau Lagarosse 2017 opens after a few stirrings, revealing a bouquet of black and blue fruits intermixed with earthy notes.
In the mouth, Château Beauséjour Duffau Lagarosse 2017 perfectly reflects its terroir, Merlot gives it its power and character, while Cabernet Franc, planted on limestone soils, brings freshness and minerality. Medium-bodied and full-bodied with solid, ripe tannins that support its fruity aromas, it distills incredible freshness. The aromas of black berries stretch in the mouth, leaving mineral notes on the finish.
