Produced from a blend dominated by Pinot Noir (61%), supplemented by Chardonnay (34%) and a little Pinot Meunier (5%), Champagne Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin Rosé 2008 is blended with 14% red wine from Bouzy. This unique rosé cuvée contains 5% of wine vinified in oak barrels, which contributes to enhance the aromatic intensity and power of the Champagne.

The incredible freshness of the Chardonnays combined with the incomparable elegance of the Pinot Noirs, make Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin's 2008 rosé one of the most beautiful cuvees of the last decade!

In the glass, the Champagne Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin Rosé 2008 has a magnificent pink colour with hints of copper and distils a pure and elegant bouquet of fresh red berries interspersed with subtle citrus notes. After a few swirls, greedy notes of butter brioche and cinnamon escape from the glass, bringing balance and harmony to the blend.
On the palate, Champagne Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin Rosé 2008 offers a lively and moderately full-bodied attack. The fruit aromas found on the nose unfurl in the mid-palate, with a soft, round and incredibly fresh texture, tinged with mineral notes that grow until they reveal an exceptionally long and persistent finish, which augurs well for at least 20 years of cellaring potential.

The 2008 Champagne Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin Rosé should enter its ideal tasting range in 2020 and continue to mature through 2040.
