The "G" is the second wine of Château Guiraud, a prestigious Sauternes Premier Cru Classé.

Produced in the Bordeaux AOC appellation, the G de Château Guiraud comes from a beautiful 15-hectare vineyard composed of sandy and clayey gravel. The vineyard's grape varieties are 70% Sauvignon Blanc and 30% Semillon. The vines are relatively young with an average age of about thirty years.

In order to respect the environment and the living, Château Guiraud works its land according to the principles of sustainable viticulture, without the addition of chemicals. Since 2011, the estate is certified in Organic Agriculture.

The 2017 vintage proved to be a difficult one for the majority of Bordeaux wine estates. With weather conditions far from optimal, producing an exceptional vintage was a real challenge. Challenge brilliantly taken up by Château Guiraud who signed a grandiose G de Guiraud 2017!

After a manual harvest spread out to pick only the ripest berries, the fruit was vinified in barrels (1/3 new, 1/3 of one wine and 1/3 of two wines). Maturing then took place in barrels for about 9 months.

The G de Château Guiraud 2017 shows a beautiful golden colour with pale green reflections.
On the nose, it diffuses a complex and very mineral bouquet loaded with aromas of yellow and white stone fruits, exotic fruits and fresh citrus fruits.
Rich and ample, the G de Château Guiraud 2017 quickly covers the palate with its fat and velvety texture. The acidity and freshness are perfectly balanced, the fruit notes of the nose, well retranscribed in the mouth, grow and evolve, allowing subtle vanilla notes to emerge as we approach the finish, which is greedy and remarkably persistent.

The G de Château Guiraud 2017 is a great success of the vintage. It will go wonderfully well with your aperitifs or your white fish and poultry dishes.
