It is not necessary to present the famous Petrus. With its 100% Merlot blend harvested in the heart of the Pomerol appellation, Pétrus is undoubtedly one of the best known wines in the world.

The 1992 vintage of Petrus has an original history. Indeed, during the month of September 1992, the vineyard of the property was covered with black plastic in order to trap the rain instead of letting it infiltrate the soil and dilute the grapes.
And it seems this idea has paid off!

The 1992 Pétrus has a superb deep opaque purple ruby colour.
On the nose, it reveals sweet notes of black berries such as blackcurrant or cherry as well as notes of herbs, vanillin and caramel.
Rich and ripe, 1992 Petrus offers a smooth and thick palate, filled with layers of superbly concentrated jammy fruit. Full-bodied and with abundant tannins, 1992 Petrus offers an extraordinary finish and remarkable persistence.

This is probably the best Bordeaux wine produced that year!
