Dressed in a splendid medium deep ruby red robe, Petrus 1979 distils with a magnificent bouquet of red fruits and smooth redcurrants wrapped in a hint of oak.
In the mouth, the 1979 vintage of Pétrus reveals an extraordinary opulence and a soft and silky texture. The aromas of red fruits are abundant and quickly cover the palate.
After a short aeration, the wine becomes more complex and reveals flavours of truffles and cooked tomatoes, ending on a long and persistent finish.
