Château Paloumey is a Cru Bourgeois located in the heart of the Haut-Médoc appellation. Its vineyard covers an area of 38 hectares and benefits from a heterogeneous soil made up of Garonne gravel, sand, rissian deposits and silico-gravelly layers.
The estate's grape varieties are dominated by Carbernet Sauvignon (55%) and Merlot (40%), with a few Cabernet Franc vines (5%). The vines are cultivated in a plot according to the principles of sustainable agriculture (Ampelos label) and harvested manually or mechanically according to the parcels before maturing in oak barrels (30% of which are new).

Château Paloumey 2017 has a beautiful purple colour, pulling towards garnet on the edge of the glass, and reveals a complex bouquet of cooked red berries and jammy and spicy black fruits coated with tertiary potpourri notes.
On the palate, Château Paloumey 2017 is moderately full-bodied. It unfolds in the middle palate with abundant, ripe and juicy red and black fruits supported by a straight and velvety tannic line and finally finishes with an elegant and discreet finish.
