It is in Pomerol, the smallest appellation in the Gironde, that the Château Mazeyres vineyard is located, surrounded by some of the most prestigious neighbours such as Petrus, l'Evangile and the Vieux Château Certan.

The Château Mazeyres vineyard is located on a soil of sandy and clayey gravel, some of which is very rich in iron drosses.
It is the immense qualities of this vineyard that pushed the famous owner, Alain Moueix, to highlight it thanks to the benefits of sustainable agriculture and the fragmented approach, making it possible to highlight all the diversity of the terroirs. In 2015, Château Mazeyres completed its transformation by obtaining certification in biodynamics.

Composed around a blend of Merlot (66%), Cabernet Franc (39%) and Petit Verdot (5%), Château Mazeyres 2018 has a pretty deep purple colour with garnet highlights.
On the nose, it reveals a complex, gourmet and fruity bouquet, full of candied and cooked black fruits, small red fruits and a touch of smoke.
On the palate, Château Mazeyres 2018 shows a frank and powerful attack. Its soft and satiny tannic structure supports the avalanche of ripe and juicy black fruits, evolving on the palate until the finish, revealing delicious spicy notes.
