Located in the heart of the prestigious AOC Pomerol, the Château Gazin vineyard borders those of neighbours such as Petrus and l'Evangile.

The Château Gazin vineyard is made up of a clayey-gravelly soil and planted mainly with Merlot (90%), supplemented by Cabernet Sauvignon (7%) and Cabernet Franc (3%). The vines are 35 years old on average and benefit from manual harvesting. The grains are then vinified in the traditional way, in small capacity cement vats before maturing for 18 months in oak barrels (50% of which are new).

Château Gazin 2017 is dressed in a magnificent purple colour with ruby tints.
In the glass, it reveals a rich and complex bouquet of warm, spicy red and black fruits rolled up in tertiary notes of cocoa and earth as well as a hint of minerality.
On the palate, Château Gazin 2017 presents a moderately full-bodied attack. The mid-palate offers a velvety texture with abundant tannins supporting a generous fruitiness of juicy and crisp red and black fruits as well as well as well-balanced woody notes. Rich and ample, Château Gazin 2017 unfolds on the palate with an incredible aromatic depth to finish with an elegant finish for several seconds.
