Château Gazin is present on 26 hectares near the Evangile and Petrus. It is one of the most prestigious and extensive vineyard of Pomerol.
The vineyard is composed of 90% Merlot, 7% Cabernet Sauvignon and 3% Cabernet Franc. The average age of the vines is 35 years.
After the October rains, the Château Gazin 2012 will not see a drop of Cabernet and will be made entirely of Merlot.

With a pretty purplish colour, Château Gazin 2012 offers a very balanced aromatic bouquet. Blackcurrant, blueberry and black cherry produce a pleasant fragrance both on the nose and in the mouth. The roundness of the still young tannins promise the potential of this bottle.
The attack in the mouth is well balanced with a fairly precise vivacity. The mid-palate is elegant, smooth and very fine.

The 2012 vintage has a strong ageing potential and will develop over the years a complement of classic notes in Pomerol such as undergrowth, truffle, leather....
