Château Ducru Beaucaillou 2015 is a Second Growth of the Saint-Julien appellation produced from two grape varieties: 95% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Merlot. It was then aged for 18 months in 100% new oak barrels.

In the glass, Château Ducru Beaucaillou 2015 presents a beautiful garnet/purple colour and distills a bouquet, very opulent for a Saint Julien, full of black fruits, dominated by plums and blackberries as well as perfectly defined cranberry notes rolled up in woody oak notes. After a few minutes, notes of red berries appear, accompanied by touches of tobacco, spices and floral touches.
In the mouth, Château Ducru Beaucaillou 2015 is medium-bodied with a subtle salty attack and a powerful, velvety tannic structure. Rich and dense, it presents a complex aromatic range, unfolding in layers until unveiling an incredibly long finish tinged with marine and black olive notes.

The 2015 vintage of Château Ducru Beaucaillou is still very young. It will take many more years before he reveals his full potential.

Château Ducru Beaucaillou 2015 can be enjoyed alone or with beef, veal or poultry.
