The rebirth of Château Desmirail is relatively recent. Indeed, this 1855 Third Growth no longer even existed before its purchase in 1982 by Denis Lurton, who rebuilt, replanted and, of course, modernised it in order to give it back its full glory.

Château Desmirail is located in the South-East of the most prestigious appellation of the Haut-Médoc: the AOC Margaux.
Its vineyard of 37 hectares of quaternary gravel is planted with Cabernet Sauvignon (70%), Merlot (29%) and Petit Verdot (1%). In an ecological perspective and by respect for the environment, the property has opted for sustainable viticulture by working its land with regular ploughing and treatments adapted to the different climates.

The 2015 vintage is considered by a majority of tasters as one of the most promising of recent years. Especially for the red wines of the Bordeaux region.

And Château Desmirail 2015 is a perfect representation of this exceptional year.

In the glass, Château Desmirail 2015 has a superb garnet red colour with ruby highlights and a full and flattering bouquet full of red fruit aromas interspersed with floral notes and rose petals.
On the palate, Château Desmirail 2015 opens with a moderately full-bodied attack followed by a perfectly balanced mid-palate. Rich and solidly built, it quickly coats the palate with fruity flavors coated with a fine and granular tannic line, revealing a good ageing potential.

Château Desmirail 2015 will be the perfect accompaniment to beef, veal or leg of lamb with garlic.
