The vineyard of Château Clauzet, Cru Bourgeois of the Saint-Estèphe appellation, covers an area of 23 hectares of gravel and benefits from a classic grape variety of Cabernet Sauvignon (55%) and Merlot (40%), supplemented by Petit Verdot (3%) and Cabernet Franc (2%).

The estate attaches particular importance to traditional harvests. The 40-year-old vines are harvested and sorted by hand, only at full maturity before being vinified in small vats. This is followed by traditional ageing in oak barrels (30% are new and the rest are aged for one wine).

In the glass, Château Clauzet 2017 has a magnificent deep purple colour with ruby tints.
On the nose and on the palate, it is fresh and perfectly balanced, with aromas of ripe and juicy red and black fruits supported by a round and velvety tannic line. Powerful and structured, Château Clauzet 2017 already restores its exceptional terroir while retaining a beautiful ageing potential!
