Renowned domain of the Côte d'Or, Domaine Henri Boillot signs here an incredible quality Volnay 1er Cru!

The small parcel of Fremiets (barely 2 hectares) is located in Volnay, in the heart of the Côte de Beaune. Its clay-limestone terroir is planted exclusively with Pinot Noir vines aged around 50 years.
After manual harvesting and rigorous sorting, the fruit is vinified in barrels and aged in oak barrels, half of which are new.

In the glass, the Volnay 1er Cru les Frémiets Domaine Henri Boillot 2017 shows a magnificent, intense ruby red colour.
On the nose, it distils a rich and complex bouquet of ripe black fruits and small juicy berries wrapped in chocolate notes. Tertiary notes of earth and smoke emerge after a few seconds of aeration.
On the palate, the Volnay 1er Cru les Frémiets Domaine Henri Boillot 2017 offers a moderately full-bodied attack. The mid-palate, ample and silky, shows a beautiful structure, with abundant and caressing tannins wrapped in fresh fruity aromas subtly enhanced by finely spicy notes.

The Volnay 1er Cru les Frémiets Domaine Henri Boillot 2017 is already ready for tasting but will gain in depth over the next 10 years.
