Founded in 1986, the Domaine Françoise & Denis Clair has become in just a few years a must in Santenay and Saint-Aubin.

With a surface area of barely 5 hectares at its birth, the family estate has grown steadily since then and today reaches the size of 14 hectares spread over multiple parcels planted exclusively with Pinot Noir (for the red wines) and Chardonnay (for the white ones).

The estate's vines are 35 years old on average and are all harvested by hand.

Produced from a blend of 100% Chardonnay from one of the most promising plots of land on the estate, the Saint-Aubin 1er Cru Sur le Sentier du Clou Domaine Françoise & Denis Clair 2017 has a beautiful straw-yellow colour with greenish tints.
On the nose, it displays a powerful and charming bouquet full of ripe yellow and white fruits (peaches, apricots, apples, pears) as well as subtle notes of small nuts (walnuts).
On the palate, the Saint-Aubin 1er Cru Sur le Sentier du Clou Domaine Françoise & Denis Clair 2017 offers a frank and chiselled attack. The fruity aromas present on the nose are perfectly retranscribed on the palate and are supported by a round and slightly fat texture as well as a delicate mineral touch.
