In 1986, Domaine Françoise & Denis Clair was just a small, confidential estate in Santenay. At that time, the property had a vineyard of barely five hectares planted exclusively with Pinot Noir.

Today, the Domaine Françoise & Denis Clair has grown thanks to the acquisition of new parcels in Santenay, but also in Saint-Aubin to reach 14 hectares in size. The estate has also diversified by dedicating 35% of its vineyard to the cultivation of Chardonnay.
The vines are 35 years old on average and are all harvested by hand.

Produced from a blend of 100% Chardonnay from one of the most beautiful plots of land on the estate, the Saint-Aubin 1er Cru Les Murgers des Dents de Chien Domaine Françoise & Denis Clair 2017 shows a magnificent pale yellow colour with green reflections.
On the nose, it distils a fresh and crisp bouquet tinged with aromas of white fruits, green apples interspersed with woody notes and a touch of yeast.

Aromas of white fruits and citrus fruits open out in the middle of the mouth accompanied by subtle floral notes and are supported by a soft and velvety texture.
